Karim Huu Do

Karim Huu Do combines a powerful emotional dimension with undeniably strong imagery, bringing to his work a trademark of visual dreamscapes and unsettling hyperreality. Raised in Switzerland by a Moroccan mother and a Vietnamese father, Karim’s mix of backgrounds and cultures helped shape his mindset and inspired his boundary-pushing approach to directing.

With his cinematic and provocative style, he has built striking campaigns for brands like NBA, Converse, H&M, and The Olympic Games, as well as his Superstar campaign for Adidas, featuring Pharrell Williams and David Beckham. Most recently, Karim directed a Las Vegas crime caper for the NBA starring Michael Imperioli and seven NBA players including Anthony Davis (Los Angeles Lakers), Draymond Green (Golden State Warriors), and Kawhi Leonard (Los Angeles Clippers.)

His work in music videos, fashion films, and commercials has been recognized with various prizes including Clios, D&AD, Cannes Lions, Epica, and a UKMVA award. Listed as one of the top new creatives in the world by Dazed Magazine and New Director of the Year by Shots, Karim’s films are as trailblazing and memorable as they come.

Karim is currently developing his first feature, a period piece in Japan’s 17th century as well as a TV show with NBC Universal.
